Is OpenTune available on iPhone or iPad?

The current first-party repository describes OpenTune as a YouTube Music client for Android. Its stable releases provide an APK named app-universal-release.apk, and no official iOS repository, IPA file or App Store listing is linked from the project.

OpenTune therefore does not run natively on iPhone or iPad. Search results, videos or download pages may use the OpenTune name, but they are not an official iOS release unless the developer links them from the repository or project website.

Why the OpenTune APK cannot install on iOS

An APK contains Android application code and resources. iOS requires software built for Apple's frameworks, packaged and signed for iPhone or iPad distribution. Safari, Files, TestFlight and the App Store cannot install an Android APK.

Sideloading does not remove this platform boundary. Even where iOS permits alternative distribution, the app still needs a genuine iOS build from the developer.

How to spot fake OpenTune iOS downloads

A legitimate iPhone release would be announced by the developer and point to an App Store page, TestFlight invitation or clearly documented iOS source and release process. At present, the official OpenTune channels do not provide those items.

Avoid pages that promise an OpenTune iOS APK, ask you to complete surveys, install device-management profiles, disable security controls or download a file from an unrelated repository.

Could OpenTune come to iOS later?

The safest way to monitor a future OpenTune iPhone release is to watch the official GitHub repository and project website. This page will only call an iOS version official after the developer publishes a verifiable first-party link.
